Watercolor + Worship: A Four-Week Creative Prayer Experience
The Creative Pause Community is a group coaching and spiritual formation experience created for those longing to slow down, listen more deeply, and rediscover meaning in their life with God through creativity and community.
Artist Stephen Roach believes creativity is essential because it’s how we find meaning in our life with God. Creative practices are often a missing component in spiritual formation. Viktor Frankl observed, meaning is formed in three ways: creatively through what we make, experientially through what we receive, and attitudinally through how we choose to respond to life, especially in seasons of pain. When woven into spiritual formation, creative practices become a powerful way to participate with God in this meaning-making process.
The Creative Pause Community creates space to move beyond simply consuming spiritual content and gently guides participants to practice noticing God’s presence, responding creatively, and sharing their experience with other image-bearers—because meaning deepens when it is received and offered in community.
This February, we invite you to experience the Creative Pause Community Circle, a beginner-friendly creative prayer experience designed to help you slow down, breathe deeply, and connect with God through simple artistic practices.
Thursdays | 6:00–7:30 PM | February 2026
Over four weeks, we will explore calming watercolor techniques alongside Scripture reflection and contemplative prayer. Each gathering offers a balance of creative expression, quiet listening, and optional sharing—all within a supportive and nonjudgmental community.
Each session includes:

No art experience is needed—just curiosity, openness, and a desire to pause.
Cost: $60 for the full 4-week series (includes all materials)
